The Navy League of Canada focuses on three key programs:
The Navy League Cadets
The Royal Canadian Sea Cadets
Maritime Affairs
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to promote an interest in Maritime Affairs generally throughout Canada
Along with our partners, Department of National Defense, Branches and our sponsor, Saskatchewan Lotteries, we deliver a dynamic program with a nautical theme to the youth of Saskatchewan. We have two programs, the Navy League program, which is for youth ages 9-12 and the Sea Cadet program for youth ages 12-18. Both programs are where youth can be part of a team dedicated to promoting the physical and mental fitness of young men and women in the cadet program. to educate our youth in Leadership, Citizenship, Self Discipline and Respect of Others.
We have a long history within Saskatchewan and currently have seven Sea Cadet Corps and six Navy League Corps located in various towns and cities across Saskatchewan.
All corps meet weekly and offer many other opportunities other than their regular parade night, drill, music, biathlon and sailing is just a few of the cadet options. Summer program for Sea Cadets offer camps, international exchanges, sailing and provide opportunities for Sea Cadets to earn money as staff cadets at various camps across Canada.
The parents and volunteers are a very important part of the program as the responsibility for fundraising for the Navy League program lies solely with the local branches.
Please find a Corps in your community and check us out!
